Our sessions let you do unlimited looks within your time period. This means if you change fast, you get more variety. Most people can get 4-5 looks per hour. If you are scheduled for a in/out session and it should rain on your session date we will do your inside session that day and reschedule your outside part for different day.
Recommendations for clothing
*Something more formal, preferably dark, for your yearbook photo. Check your school’s yearbook guidelines, some schools are rather strict about this.We do have the drape at our studio for the formal yearbook photograph, if you would like to use it.
*Remember to bring accessories too! Jewelry, shoes, boots, scarves, hats, sunglasses, etc.
*Bring a variety of colors, don’t bring 5 blue outfits even if it is your favorite color. Vary the style, all one look (like tanks) gets boring. Bring long sleeves, shorts, jeans, skirts, sweaters, jackets and dresses.
Give us Props!
Bring props that help define who you are. Popular choices are: Sports equipment and uniforms. Music instruments, band uniforms, letterman jacket, class ring, prom dresses. If you plan to bring your pet, please let us know ahead of time.
Hair, Makeup and Tanning
Avoid excessive tanning. It doesn’t always translate well in photographs. Have your nails done. Your hands will show in some of the portraits. Makeup is good, but avoid harsh makeup. Bring your curling iron or straighting iron for hair touch ups. Don’t worry about blemishes, retouching will help with any problem areas.
Many of our seniors take a little time to study our web site to see the different backdrops we have and outdoor locations. Often, they already have a ‘game plan’ for what they want to wear for different locations and backgrounds. When you arrive, we will look over everything you’ve brought and make our recommendations. Don’t worry about poses, we will help with striking the right pose.
